Waldemar Schlichting (1896- 1970)
a German marine painter. He was a student of the Academy of Arts in Berlin and was a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists of Berlin from 1946. His paintings are displayed at the Museums of Cuxhaven and Schwerin. His style is characterized mainly by its balanced composition and atmospheric scene set in maritime and ship views.
